No mic in csgo?

When I press the assigned press to talk key it does not talk.. I have razer krakens

did you set it up in the mic setup button at the bottom of the menus?

open the console and enter: voice_enable 1

also check your voice settings in steam

edit: you can enter: "voice_loopback 1" to hear yourself speaking(or not)

Did you enable your microphone in CS GO/Steam? I think there's a drop down menu for it or something.

Does your mic even work outside of Steam/CS GO? Try restarting the PC.

Go to recording devices (bottom right, speaker icon) and check if the Razer Kraken mic shows up there. If it's not then it's either not enabled or it's broken.

No, my mic does not work outside of csgo for some reason I just got this computer yesterday, it works as headphones tho

It seems as though the Razer Kraken's don't even have a mic unless it's the Kraken Pro or Kraken 7.1.

Honestly, it's probably best to Google on how to get it working, all this back and forth is a lot of work when you alone could just get it working yourself!

1. Make sure all cables are plugged in fully. Also make sure you plugged in the cables into the correct green and pink ports in the back of your motherboard.

 

2. Make sure you have your audio drivers installed, Realtek is the most common. Is the build linked in your signature actually yours? If so your motherboard is the ASUS Z97-A right? If so go here: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/Z97A/HelpDesk_Download/ and click the drop down menu and select what OS you're using, then click on "AUDIO" and download the most recent Realtek Audio drivers. You'll probably have to restart your computer after installing.

 

3. If your mic still does not work open up the Realtek HD Audio Manager and see if you can see your headset there, if not disconnect your headset and reconnect it, Realtek should ask you if it's a headset or headphones, select headset and your mic should show up.

 

4. If it still doesn't show up then you didn't connect the cables properly OR your mic is broken.

 

Only other thing I can suggest is try and use them on another PC, if they work there then drivers or settings are messed up somewhere.
