https://downloadcenter.intel.com/ Find the latest driver.  If you really don't have this installed that can be part of the problem.

They aren't CPU drivers. They are chipset drivers.

If anything is out of date that could be an issue though.  Also, quick question!  Are you running a newer Nvidia driver?  Cuz those are buggy as hell.  I'd rolled back to a previous one.

I am on the latest driver update.

I will rollback to a previous release.

Thanks for the help.

None. I will put my 980 in my test bench and see if it's causing the issues. If it's my i7, I will buy another one.

Today is going to be expensive.

EDIT: I purchased a 980Ti yesterday, and my issue is solved.

Thanks for the help guys.

So your Graphics Card was limiting your CPU?? Didn't get that lol..

-Btw maybe the poor CPU performance was due to Parked CPU cores?

When I upgraded from Win 7 to Win 10, my FX-8350 performed HALF of what it used to.

I found it it was because half of the "cores" were parked in Windows

Just had to "un-park" them in the registry, and the performance was back to normal.

Your test results being half of what others get with 5820k could look like it

I would say it was my 980 having damaged silicon...

All I know is my problem is solved.
