I bought a mynet wireless ac bridge from amazon. Does it act as a WiFi extender (since that's what I bought it for)? Or did I make a mistake? Thanks for the help!

Umm AC bridges like theses allows multiple wired devices with no physical ethernet connection to be connected via Wifi, I don't think it has the ability to act as a repeater or dedicated access point.

Not if you want to link wireless devices to it.
