Well you could watch one of Linus' build logs.

 

But generally you first test it outside of the case. And after that start putting stuff in the case.

But what should be put first in the case depends on what you have. Do you have a optical drive? Do you have an AIO or air cooler? How big is the air cooler? Etc.

watch a guide on youtube, there isn't a shortage on them. Just type in "build a pc" or something.

i highly suggest you watch a few build logs from linus. it'll explain pretty much every question you might have on this.

in case youre too lazy to look into it yourself. I would highly recommend watching one of linus' build guides such as this one:

 

It may be a little on the long side (40+ min) but it goes into great detail, and even has chapter selection ifn case you want to skip over some stuff quickly.
