Umm halp?

So I built my friend a computer. I can't even set up windows for him. I can get into the bios only if I mash f2/del before it shows a screen saying "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key." when I press f11 (boot menu) and I choose the boot drive it does the same thing.

Here are the specs

Asrock h97 anniversary p1.20

I5 4460

2x4 corsair lp 1600mhz

Msi r9 380 4gb

Wd black 1 tb

you have a windows install disk or a windows bootable flash drive? 

make sure you select it in the boot menu.

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

What did you put on the flash drive?

 

Also did you try another USB slot?

What did you put on the flash drive?

Also did you try another USB slot?

i copied and passed everything that was on the windows disk and I tried all the slots on the mobo. It was recognized in the bios

change usb ports or check if fast boot is enabled if so turn it off. Try with 1 ram stick if still nothing take gpu out and try.

sounds like your USB isn't a bootable drive 

 

i'd reburn the ISO onto it again.

Just copying from disc to flash drive does certainly not work. Here is a guide on how to make a flash drive bootable from the CD http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-create-a-bootable-usb-drive-from-your-windows-cd/

format usb drive with roofus and get a iso from Microsoft. Copy and paste doesn't work, i think.
