The late 2000s are back my friends and LGA 775 lives agian...


So what's the deal?


​Basically every since I was 7 I wanted one of those fancy Core 2 Quad computers with as many LED fans and other unneeded accessories. This build log is going to be consisting of the following parts, most of which I have except the CPU cooler and case.

  • Antec 900 case
  • Thermaltake 430watt PSU
  • 8GB Crucial DDR2 800mhz
  • 4 120mm Multi-Colored fans
  • EVGA 780i SLI 775 Motherboard
  • 9800 GTX
  • 320 GB WD
  • Caviar and Dual 40gb Segate IDE Enterprise drives in raid

I will be updating this post later tonight and all through next week! Let us bring back some memories from the late 2000s and make my dream system come true B)

Damn, I remember back in 2009 when I built my first computer, had an athlon x2 240, and a 9400gt, surprisingly ran Borderlands 1 at low settings at 1600x900

Desktop: i9 11900k, 32GB DDR4, 4060 Ti 8GB 🙂

It did? Wow I feel stupid :P Well I guess in that case I will just say it is mainly cause I already had the motherboard and CPU plus i'm an LGA 775 fanboy so..... ya :D

So I got the Hyper T4 today and mounted the fans in a push-pull config and decided to order one more fan to make up for that, I also plan on ordering the case tomorrow as soon as the money post so we are looking at Wednesday or Thursday for the complete system as long as nothing bad happens along the way. In the mean time I will run some stress test and get Windows Vista Ultimate installed :P Here are some pictures in the mean time  :D

So I just recorded a quick video to show how loud the system is and all I can say is it is LOUD  :wacko: This is due to the fan's being Molex but I could easily mod them to be 4pin or just connect them to a fan controller

I'm really diggin' those led fans!

They do look cool! Hopefully they blend well with the 200mm blue fan on the Antec 900 along with work on the fan controller I just ordered :D
