Place: tsukimo at akihabara, tokyo, Japan

Budget: TBA bit I don't think a lot

Aim: high emphasis in photshop and lots of layers, starting in autocad, no gaming

CPU: i5 quad core 3.5ghz, i7 quad core 4.0ghz,or amd fx-8350 4 ghz

Ram: 16gb

Gpu: quadro k640 2gb

Memory: 2TB

Motherboard: na

Psu: 600w smt from cosa ir

Peripherals: not sure, maybe

Reason to upgrade: this is for my friend, her laptop is a dead horse.

You don't really need a workstation GPU for photoshop, the most important thing is going to be a higher end monitor, really just about anything would work well in photoshop, just nab like an i7 and 16gbs of RAM and you're all set.

Also I believe firepro cards are generally better for the money, and adobe has been supporting OpenCL a lot more recently. Something like a W7000/W7100 if you really wanted to go that route.
