Gigabyte Z170 G1.Sniper

We have always been a fan of Gigabyte's Green G1.Sniper motherboards due to their unique colur scheme and rich feature set, to a point where we were very vocal about our disappointment ath there was no G1.Sniper motherboard for Intel's z97 socket.

 

Thankfully Gigabyte green is back this generation, which will be music to the ears of anyone who wants to built a Green themed rig.

 

 

 

 

It is great to see a Green G1.Sniper motherboard return to Gigabyte's Z170 lineup, I wonder how many Green themed PCs are going to be built once this lovely looking motherboard hits the market.

 

Just to name a few features, USB 3.1 with Type-C, PCIe Gen3 x2 M.2 connector with up to 32Gb.s Data Transfer (PCIe NVMe & SATA SSD support), 3 SATA Express connectors, 115dB SNR HD Audio with Built-in Rear Audio Amplifier.

 

Personally I really like the G1.Sniper series of motherboards since they were always different and unique compared to what is offered in the market today.

Most often times we see red and black associated with high-end boards or boards that are marketed towards gamers.

Gigabyte are pretty much unique in the fact that they could make their boards literally any colour they want and still look unappealing to me. I guess it's the heatsink shapes and text ruining all their boards for me.

ps thats what people will use it for, I like it for a lot of other reason besides just the color, it seems like a pretty descent board. Also I hate Doritos.

People will use them more so because of the other high end green components on the market.

 

 

And besides, I don't imagine that the G1 green and Razer green are the same. Could still look good though.

That's how all motherboard makers should be, pick a color for their special boards, and stick with it. Happy to see Gigabyte went back to green/black for its G1 sniper.
