upgrading my graphics card

i own a i7 dell xps 8700. can i upgrade my graphics card to do some light gaming? if so which will you recommend for about $200?

380/280X/7970.

 

all the light (1440p :P) gaming you could want for quite a substantial amount of time.

Most modern pre-built productive systems come with 500w or less PSU. I'd recommend going with a 960. An R9 380 may seem a bit too much seeing it requires atleast 28 amps on a single 12v+ rail which I highly doubt the PSU of your pre-built system is capable of while the 960 only needs 20 amps.

If you can take a look at your system's PSU it probably would say some important information such as wattage, voltage and amperage somewhere along the PSU casing.
