People spend upwards to $300 for gaming headphones and several thousands for dedicated dac/amp set ups.

$100-150 will get you a solid pair of headphones. HD 558s would be my base recommendation. $60 headphones will get you by but you'll be left wanting more imo.

wait a minute dont buy a 'gaming headset' theres no such thing as a gaming headset

Find the best pair of headphones for music. And it will have better quality than 150$ 'gaming headphones'.

watch this vid for more information

or this one but they are more expensive

May i ask where you live? I don't know either of them but they sound like cheap marketed gaming headsets, both of them.

Unless you need a microphone, don't get "Gaming" headset.

You might still able to find Philips SHP9500 for $60. This is the headphone I'd recommend for less than $100, if open-back is OK for you.

Superlux HD668B can be found on amazon for <40 USD. Great analytical sound with a decently wide soundstage. Open back headphones are great for gaming and listening to music too.
