Or see your professor before class even begins and convince him that the latest edition multi-hundred dollar textbook is not needed for the class. The previous edition which now costs 1/19th the price of the latest edition will suffice.

Look back at my time in college I now realize how much money is eaten and how so few recognize it. If you can't make strong arguments for yourself and stand by them with conviction, then honestly I don't believe you should even be in college. Go to a trade school instead.
