How much improvement would I really see ?

A little bit about my current setup.

My over 5 years old desktop. i5-750, 8GB RAM and a 660Ti 2G that I upgraded to 2 years ago ? 

I run a 3440 by 1440 ultrawide 

 

I am planing on building a new computer when the holiday season comes. Maybe the new Skylake. with 980 Ti

 

Should I get the 980 Ti now ? My machine struggle a little trying to run GTA at the native resolution. If I upgrade to 980Ti now, would I see that much of an improvement ?  Or my CPU is just going to bottleneck it anyway ?

You could get a better gpu now. At higher res like that cpu isn't a big deal. Eventually you'll need to upgrade.

Just wanna make sure my i5-750 won't be bottlenecking. A GTX 980Ti it is  :)
