Dark Souls : Prepare To Die Edition - Steam - 2560x1080?

Hey people,

 

So I bought Dark Souls on steam in the sale last week and I'm having issues with the resolution, when I set it to 2560x1080 the screen goes black but I still get sound, I have tried it windowed and full screen (No option for window borderless)

 

I have also tried editing the .ini with no luck, and also tried the DSFIX.ini and same problems.

 

Anyone managed to get it working in 2560x1080 or more?

 

There was a posted fix using DSFIX.ini and Flawless-Widescreen but this has now been reported to not work since a steam patch?

Game is 16:9 only. It's also controller only (well, as far as sanity goes). If you bought and dont own a 360-pad, refund it.

Yeah I think so, I played it when it was released on Xbox but never finished it, was looking forward to playing it with KB+M but I can't even get it to display properly.

 

It does work at 1920x1080 but it stretches the image to fit the screen , looks like crap.

M+K impossible. That alone would be enough to say fuck off FROM Software. Tooltips are XBox Controller Buttons. This Game has so many issues and failures, it would take the half day to write it down. It´s insane this Game has success on PC. Just shows how many Gamers without demands are out there.

Get your Money back and buy FO4.

Same piece of shit with a tiny bit better graphics. Bad M+K controll, Console Tooltips ectect. FROM Software are lazy Liars who tread PC Gamer like lower Class. Dont give them Money.

I think it's worth pointing out that Dark Souls only came to PC in the first place because From were essentially begged for it. The game was designed from the ground-up to be a console game, and when the decision was made to port it to PC so long after all the technical decisions had been made it just didn't work well. But even so, it's better we got a chance to mod it into playability than not gotten it at all.

You'll still want a gamepad, but other than that it is a better port. Supposedly Flawless Widescreen can make 21:9 work, though I haven't tried it myself.
