How to recover data from a slave Drive after reinstalling windows

I recently had the SSD that I was using for windows die on me. I got it replaced and reinstalled windows, but now it says my hard drive is empty even though it isn't (or at least it wasn't when I was using my old SSD). Is there any way for my computer to allow me to access the data that was on that drive or should I just reformat it?
