R9 380 not recognized and blackscreen

Rainerle

Hello folks,

A few days ago I build a system for a friend of mine:

Amd 8320e

Asrock 970 pro3 rv2

16gb crucial cl9 (2sticks)

Sapphire r9 380 nitro

Kingston hyperX 128gb ssd

Win 7 prof. 64bit

600w cooler master PSU

So at my place everything was working fine far cry 3 1080p ultra 100fps + no problems.

The he picked it up, and later texted me that he's getting no video signal to his screen (cheep old low res. 4:3 one) so he told me something about booting windows in safe mode and disabling the graphics card. Netxt message was "it works but rocket leaug isn't starting" over 4 hours of work I figured out it was a Brocken directX version, so I installed newest drivers again (after he uninstalled them) updated windows ect. (Everything via team viewer) and everything worked, but his screen is black again.

So with latest drivers games work but no "physical video signal" .

Without screen is showing things but games don't work obviously.

So could that be a case of incompatibility? Has someone am idea how to fix this? Older drivers have the same effekt like no drivers. (Before he had an old gt 730 and everything was working).

If someone has any ideas pleas let me know, I'm in a very uhm let's call it "un-pleasing situation " at the moment.

Thanks for your help or even try to by reading my nonsense :D

Cheers

Rainerle ;)
