i'd keep the air cooler, it'll probably perform better. Keep the AIO as backup

id say the nepton, the u12s isnt much better than a h55 from corsair.

Sounds a good idea, I also have a spare 6870 in case my R9 390 ever kicks the bucket.

Depends on the system it is used on too though, those old Bloomfield i7's were real monsters in heat and power draw.

If it is a Nepton 120 XL it will probably outperform the Noctua given the extra thickness and the fans, altho you can always put the noctua fan on the rad.

Well yeah, some of the new air coolers out now are cheaper, quieter, and perform just as good or better compared to aios. They will be outperformed sometimes though.

Not sure about that graph, the nepton is beating the kelvin S24, the D14 beating the D15, the NH-U12s beats the NH-U14s, i think the load was too low, the difference between the deltas is too little.
