Asus X99-E WS and 128GB Ram Confirmation

 can anyone confirm on the X99-E WS board that is can and does support 128GB of ram. on the asus site it says it does, however on resellers like amazon, newegg, corsair memory finder, it states 64GB. i actually called the asus support and a lady on the phone said max was 32GB, which i knew right away was wrong. does anyone know what the actual supported amount is. i didn't want to buy the 128gb kit from corsair and then be out 1,600 dollars for a kit that isn't even supported. Asus support document doesn't show the maximum.

If ASUS states that you are able to run 128GB Ram, it will or should do so. It clearly states onto their website, that it supports 128GB of memory.

The more ram you get onto one stick, espicially beyond 16GB it gets alot more expensive, as its not something they sell alot of.

Think about it, how many people buys a 16/32GB stick, and plan to do Dual or Quad channel?

Oh it's because it's that useless corsair dominator platinum that performs just like any cheap kit of ram.

Just go for cheapest find.

I'd go for Kingston Value RAM or whichever is cheapest.
