Uh.. possibly, but chances are it will work.

Maybe open it if you are sure there is still water inside. and let is completely dry.

isn't every guide saying that you should only have the pump connected while filling the loop?^^

if it wasnt formatted prior then no format it but that seems too simple and im sure you've already formatted it. best case scenario sata power cable is bad worst case dead ssd id just try a different cable if you have one first then try putting it in rice to get moisture out hope it aint dead bud.

So, my SSD got a drip of water on it when my loop was filling. and It seemed to have gotten onto the SATA power plug pins. the SSD wouldnt show up in windows, so I soaked it in 100% alcohol and am currently letting it dry.

Chances its dead?

Put your SSD in a bag of uncooked rice, the rice will absorb all the moisture.

if you powered the ssd on while there was still any water left in it you may of fried it. I would take off the ssd's cover and check for corrosion, mineral deposits. I would clean any of that off with some IPA and then let it dry for a while then try again.

Wait, you soaked your SSD in alcohol?

Alcohol evaporates really quickly.

Though frankly, I would recommend you open it up if possible, and pop the whole thing in a bag of uncooked rice, the saviour of soaked small-scale electronics.

Doesn't need too be small scale, I've seen it done to a 40 inch TV
