Hay guys This is my build http://pcpartpicker.com/p/9jbFNG the only problem is that I only have 700$ and I don't want to downgrade anything s o I was just wondering if there are any sales right now or up coming up one I should look for or what I should do ( I get the monitor for free and I already own the two gtx 970s and the case).

Get rid of the Z series board since your CPU can't overclock and get an H series instead (H97). Also don't get an RGB keyboard if you're on a budget. Or mechanical for that matter. Rubber dome keys certainly do the job.

If anything, I would probably wait with a keyboard upgrade if you really need the entire thing NOW. Otherwise, I know for a fact an SSD is not completely needed, you can do with a hard drive until you can afford the SSD.

Also, why not just save up the extra 80$?

Z97 keyboard with a locked CPU

Noticed the two graphics cards bro? Yea, only Zxx supports SLI, not Hxx or anything else.

Get rid of the Z series board since your CPU can't overclock and get an H series instead (H97).

What I mentioned right above

Quick tip: Zxx series is not only for overclocking, some of the latest Hxx series can actually overclock to some extend (yes even with multiplier).

CPU: I7 4790K(4.6@1.252v)                               Case: Fractal Design Define R5 Windowed(Black)           Cooler: CM 212 EVO + NF F12 iPPC

RAM: HyperX Fury 1600MHZ CL10 2x4GB      Storage: Samsung 850 EVO(250GB) + WD Red(2TB)      PSU: Corsair RM750 (and no, it hasn't blown up!)

MoBo: Asus Maximus VII Ranger                      Graphics: MSI GTX 970 TwinFrozr (1494MHZ Core)       OS: Windows 10 Enterprise

  1. if you have a locked cpu, there's no point in getting a z97 board. get an h97, b85, or h81

you don't need 16gb of ram if you're just gaming

750w is overkill for dual 970's. all you need is a 600-650w psu for an overclock on the cpu and gpus

your keyboard is too expensive. there are logitech ones that are just fine for like 30 bucks or less

1. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHKHKHKHKHK *ahem* look at my previous post

2. Agreed

3. Not quite agreed - 650W wouldn't be much cheaper, and would be less efficient as it moves closer to 100% usage - also limited upgrade ability in the future.

4. Agreed somewhat, mechanical is worth getting, but not necessarily needed

In that cause, 2 GTX 970's with a 1440p monitor at 144hz. you might hit that 3.5GB buffer pretty quick which is gona be nasty.

It is only a problem in 4k

his benchmarks were showing it getting quite close or even exceeding it slightly if you saw it. and the second it reaches that the rest of the memory gets bottlenecked

Yes but his benchmarks mean nothing to me, other benches have shown no problems until AA 4k Once that happens it shits the bed though

I was thinking that on cyber Monday sales would be good enough for me to get it that cheap.

You might be able to, but be prepared to make minor changes. Not everything will be on sale. Also, if you are waiting for cyber monday, why don't you just save up for so you can afford what you actually want? You should have plenty of time to save up another 80$

honestly it all depends on what he's doing.

That's true, I really didn't read his bench as it was on the pc master race reddit which I have found to be full of bs, but that's just me everyone has their own opinions, biases and experiences
