GTX 980 Ti - Dual Monitor Set up.

Hello people,

 

So I plan on upgrading my pc and want to ask if the 980 Ti can power the following :

 

 

34" Acer Predator X34 3440x1440 (This will be used for gaming)

+

34" Dell U2414H 1920x1080 (This will just display Twitch / Xsplit etc)

 

 

I will be streaming games and want to know what to expect with the 980 ti with the above screens.

Yeah it can, I don't know too much about the 980ti at high resolutions though so idk

Yes, it will suffice - it works fine for me, and I have a 970. I have a 144hz 1080P monitor, as well as that 24" Dell U2414H - it powers it just fine.

if you use one just for viewing things and not gaming it shouldnt impact performance much

My main concern is FPS in games, I know 3440x1440 is hard to power so I don't want to buy everything and find I get less than 30 fps when streaming etc.

3440x1440 should also be fine for +60FPS, but I don't know about streaming, that depends on your CPU. I use OBS with a 4.2GHZ 4790K, and I get no performance hit whatsoever when streaming

I don't know how much the FPS is being affected by running xSplit, but I am fairly sure it would do OBS fine.

I haven't streamed for a while, but I had a 4790K take about a 10-20% usage hit running OBS actively, so about what half a game would use, I don't remember the rest, but I believe that RAM shouldn't be an issue (I had 8GB), and GPU should be unaffected as long as you are not using ShadowPlay or hitting 100% CPU usage.
