I have a WD Blue HDD and I have it installed it in my build.  It isn't being shown in my bios and in the "my pc" section of my files, however it is in my device manager.  Help?

Initialize the hdd.

Or it is faulty.

I don't have another computer to test to see if it is faulty.

Follow your topics.

Try checking if power is connected properly.

If it is a new HDD you need to go to Device management and create a drive letter for as well as a quick format before you start using it.

Check disk management.

1. If it is there but nothing else you need to initialize it.

2 .If it is there and it is not allocated, you need to format it.

3. Format it, give it a driver letter

4. if nothing of the above, it may be faulty

The site has changed....

Hey there multitasker451,

I'd try swapping SATA cables and ports and see if it gets recognized in BIOS. Try resetting your CMOS battery and see if that helps.
Could you post a screenshot of the way the drive is seen in Device Manager? I'd try to find another computer to test the drive with WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic to see if the problem comes from the drive or somewhere else in your system.
