As it turns out, the Apple Watch Edition can sometimes explode. According to the owner of the watch, it quickly started heating up, and when he tried to take it off, the band got stuck.

 

took some scissors, just went "hi-ya", and then it started smoking then it simmered down. It could've killed me.

At the Apple Store he went to, all the employee could say was "wow."

 

After taking it to the "technicians" the employee came back and said that the watch was not serviceable at the retail level and that the customer had to call an Apple Care line and get a new watch.

 

He made a video of what had happened:

You dont know the context. This guy destroyed the iwatch using magnets and used the excuse to do a prank... I found it quite funny and the conversation between the two is just hilarious. He tried to do it at a number of stores and I think they caught onto it.
