I'm thinking about picking up an R9 390 this Winter.

Do any of you that own one suggest it? It seems great for the performance per dollar. Looking at the Gigabyte version linked here:

Have any of you used this specific card before? Reason I'm looking at it is I'd rather get a GPU now and a new case down the line.

I had a ref 290x and I loved it so a 390 will do you good

I personally dont like GB and would get a XFX or MSI card because I like being able to take off the cooler or a sapphire one because they are so quiet

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

Gigabyte cards are fantastic.

Just not the 390 because it's voltage locked.

According to the guys having done massive insane cataloguing of the 300 series Hawaii chips (390/390x) over at overclock.net it looks like sapphire has arguably the best cooler for Hawaii, and msi has by a notable margin both the most consistent and the best overclockers.

If it isn't more money and it doesn't clash with your build colors that's what I would recommend.

Sucks. They still make good products. I've owned several Gigabyte mobo's and a couple cards and never had a problem.

oh and the software and drivers on their mobos. Why do I keep buying GB boards..

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.
