What monitor should I get for a competitive CSGO player?

Frem

Many pros still play at 4:3, both black bar and stretched.  theres actually only a handful right now who use 16:9, namely shroud.

Yes.. And many of them played CS prior... And it's their personal preference, which is what I was trying to say.

<p>Mobo - Asus P9X79 LE ----------- CPU - I7 4930K @ 4.4GHz ------ COOLER - Custom Loop ---------- GPU - R9 290X Crossfire ---------- Ram - 8GB Corsair Vengence Pro @ 1866 --- SSD - Samsung 840 Pro 128GB ------ PSU - Corsair AX 860i ----- Case - Corsair 900D

on stretched it also makes peeks seem faster.  trade offs.

almost every pro uses a 24 inch monitor.  every single major LAN event uses 24 inch monitors aswell.  stop spewing false info.

at events they use what they are given. find out what they use on personal time.

It's not 27" monitors... If you play CS competitively at all you'd know it's all about consistency and switching between 24" and 27" is ANYTHING but consistent... VERY few CS pro's are using 27" monitors

notice the extreme lack of 27 inch monitors.  24 inch is the pro gaming standard.

Trust me, they don't actually play competitively with 27" monitors though and since the OP asked what monitor to buy to get into comp play 24" is the correct recommendation...
