Black screen during Windows 8.1 installation

So I finished the Rare Pepe build in my signature last night, so I attempted to install Windows 8.1 Pro. I set boot priority to the ODD where the installation disc is, and exited the BIOS to start installation. The Windows logo appeared, then after a few seconds the ODD slows down, the loading "circle" pops up under the logo. A few seconds after that, the screen goes black, without the HDD or ODD doing anything. I waited about 20 seconds before I pressed the reset button (which I did 3 times before I gave up), but I don't think waiting longer will do anything. Any idea on what may be the cause? Thanks!
