Posted September 2, 2015 I currently have an EVGA gtx 970 SC ACX (http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=04G-P4-2974-KR) I now want to run it in SLI. What type of cooler should I go for with the second card. Thinking about heat in the case. What arrangement should I put the cards in. (i.e. reference on top, acx underneath?) Should I be going for an aio cooler for my cpu to keep the case cooler. Do I need additional case fans. Any other blaring mistakes in my parts list, feel free to point them out. (http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/8wq9mG) Just to be clear, I have already purchased one 970, that can't be changed. (I know this was dumb but ah well)
Posted September 2, 2015 Don't get such an expensive mobo. An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of. Posted September 2, 2015 you should be fine with two 970 without changin config, just make sure you buy a few extra case fans ( at least 3-4 intake and 2-3 exhaust ) I would personally get a different case and a cheaper mobo too Recommend what is best, not what you preffer. Posted September 2, 2015 Author Why? Also, noctua NH-U14s is better value. Because I could probably have gone for a 980 ti for around the same price. And would've if I had know I was going to spend this much. Love the aesthetic on this mobo, so I'm probably gonna stick with it. Changed the case for a Fractal Design S windowed. spent the money saved on case fans. http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/JL6LRB
