Hmmmm, that's interesting, why did you pick Dvorak over QWERTY? Rebinding caps lock to a second backspace is pretty cool.

I'm just a good old boring touch typist, no fun things about me. :(

i find the layout more comfortable to type on and seeing as i am going into UNI next year doing a double degree i expect to have to do more typing.

also i like the idea of alternating hands when typing to spread out the load.

On membrane keyboards i don't use my pinky fingers when i type and i double-tap the caps lock for all capital letters rather than using the shifts. On a mechanical keyboard however i use the shift just fine but i still don't use my right pinky, with my left pinky now being used to actuate the left shift due to how much lighter it is.

Sounds like your membrane keyboards have been horribly infested by a cola/coke-like substance. My membrane keyboard sure as hell wasn't harder to press down than my MX Blacks are.

For some odd reason I can type with my left hand using all of my fingers, yet with my right hand I only use my index finger and no matter how hard I try I can't get used to typing with my whole right hand. Either way I'm can type reasonably quick if I really get into it.

Mine is that I never use Right side Shift, Alt, and Ctrl. I never use Caps Lock, but always Left Shift.

I hate (hate (hate)) contractions but I find it very hard to not use them.

I never remember the 1-0 symbols and randomly hit them until I find the symbol I want until I either find it or get frustrated enough to look down (which I hate doing).

I never use F1-F12. For anything.

I think that's it.

I end up prematurely spacing when typing 'please'.

For example when trying to type 'please note' it comes out as 'pleas enote' on the first go!

i can't help but notice my lef thand types WAY more keys than my right. it almost feels like a complimentary hand when im typing

that would probably be because the layout favors the left hand, i think i read somewhere that qwerty uses left more than right but dont quote me on that

Same here. Was using a computer way before they taught you how to do it the "correct" way.

My primary school tried to teach us how to touch type properly with some weird typing game, it never worked at all.

And thus I do not type in the "correct way".

If I think someone is watching me type then I simply fail at typing....

My school had a game as well, once one person realised you can cheat it by holding space nobody ever bothered to try and play the game properly again.

i used a program called sharp keys to rebind just that key, all the rest of my key commands such as Ctrl-c, v are still broken but that isnt so much of an issue
