So, I searched through real quick, but didn't see anything on this: http://mobile.solaptop.com/index.html (sent from my phone since power is down...)

Just something my friend showed me, probably because his dad works on solar cells. It runs ubuntu, and more specs will be released later.

Possibly one of the nicest looking laptops out there. The military-like look to it is interesting, looks like it will be quite solid and it will be 350 dollars so not too bad for a laptop just to have on the go.

I googled it and sites like this one seem to be saying so. Not sure if it will turn out to be true but if so then it sounds to me like a bargain: http://www.extremetech.com/computing/163184-sol-the-350-solar-powered-rugged-ubuntu-laptop-that-wont-be-usable-in-the-sun

Yeah, where'd you get that price? I saw one site say it would cost less than $550. At that price, I'd even get one!

Edit: Apparently you answered already... sorry, my internets were being slow.

'Though the notebook isn't exactly wildly affordable'

How the hell is $300 not wildly affordable?! It's pretty damn cheap for such a product tbh depending on the specs, which if the article is true is pretty impressive, 10 hour battery with a HD screen?

Edit: "The Sol will cost just $350 — or $400 if you want a submersible, waterproof model." Is it just me or does this sound like one hell of a laptop?
