It's still $20 cheaper than a 980 here... It's only $140 more. It feels like more if you don't bother doing the simple math.

How about no? I don't want to give my money to NVIDIA.

Not really a fanboy. I'm actually coming from NVIDIA. Tired of the shit drivers.

When will people stop being a fanboy and just get the best bang for buck, may it be AMD or Nvidia?

I always recommend a;

R9 390 over 970

R9 380 over 960

980Ti over Fury X

Well they are both powerful for 1080p and considering that you might "future-proof"

The Fury isn't bad but the benchmarks show the difference between the cards are quite minimal at different resolutions

But the Fury is a cooler and more efficient card which some people will also need if they plan on Crossfire

You should also consider saving up for a 980ti considering the power of that thing can beat both the 390x and Fury on almost any resolution out there

It costs $210 more than a Fury... from the benches I've seen... not worth it.

Get a 970 or 390! Jesus even they are overkill for 1080p. Most games will be fine with a 960 or 380.

Look at 970s, look at 390s, find whatever is cheaper because they will basically be the same for you, and a 980 Ti or Fury X will offer zero benefit over either of these right now.

There is a BIG difference between a Fury NON-X and 980Ti... lol.

Can a 970 or 390 get 144FPS on 1080P. No.

People seem to spend thousands and thousands on their rig and play on shitty 60hz monitors.

Can most CPUs? I know that a 5960X struggles to maintain 144fps at any resolution in Bioshock Infinite. Until that particular weak link is sorted you're better off not caring about how many FPS your GPU can get at such a low resolution anyway.

Well when I look at the Fury with the X and 980Ti the difference is huge, so normal Fury is even worse
