JJJarek

I want my Phenom II x12 6GHZ 75w TDP with 1TB l3 cache naow.

It's still the same site each time and you all guys fall for it...

So... If Jesus had the gold, would he buy himself out instead of waiting 3 days for the respawn?

CPU: Phenom II x6 1045t ][ GPU: GeForce 9600GT 512mb DDR3 ][ Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P ][ RAM: 2x4GB Kingston 1333MHz CL9 DDR3 ][ HDD: Western Digital Green 2TB ][ PSU: Chieftec 500AB A ][ Case: No-name without airflow or dust filters Budget saved for an upgrade so far: 2400PLN (600€) - Initial 2800PLN (700€) Upgraded already: CPU

Okay I agree a 10% performance lead on Titan is possible definitely, achievable by AMD but the site's credibility is second to 0.

That was not a surprise, 7970 is two years old card, and it was only 10% slower than titan, then come OEM 8970, witch was already little faster than TITAN and 9970 is going to be faster than OEM 8970.

I cannot even trust that site after basically 2 counts of sensationalist articles and claims so stratospheric its a wonder people believe them, also that screen shot could easily be a slightly overcloced titan because of no actual validation.

Check my other post.

I'll believe it when I see it but overally yes it's definitely possible.

But hey, if this is the best AMD has for this and next year, if anybody is doomed, AMD is doomed.

I don't expect Maxwell GM104 (the 'worse' chip) to be less than 30% incremental increase over 780 for 880. And I hope for more.

GM110 might be a good 50% over 780.

The 8970 is the exact same as a 7970, its a rebrand and there was no performance jump with it at all

No, its not.

yes it is

The specs are IDENTICAL to the 7970 and it has been beaten to death that the 8970 OEM is nothing more then a rebrand..zip, zlich no performance jump.

This has been mentioned time and time again and I keep repeating it OEM only number branded parts are just rebrands of the main consumer lineup, the higher number is just meant to confuse the average Joe consumer.

So much for not releasing any new GPU's in 2013. I know that basically went out the window with the 7790, but why bother saying that in the first place.

I would expect the new top-end card from AMD to be faster than Titan but that doesn't mean Titan is dead because price cuts are still a thing. Let's not forget that Titan has features that the 780 doesn't, nor does any other gaming GPU for that matter.

I'm excited nonetheless for a brand new generation from AMD.

I linked the vanilla 7970, I dont know looks oddly familiar, give it up its a rebrand as the 7970Ghz is a slightly higher clocked 7970 with no changes to the PCB or cores or power delivery circuity.

This is so cool! Hope AMD destroys Nvidia for sometime! Thinking about grabbing some refreshed versions of the Titan when Haswell-E comes out!

Never hope that Nvidia dies, AMD would get monopoly and that would not be cool.

Titan is doomed because of 10% advantage in a synt. benchmark :D

DOOOOOMED!

Titan have double precision so it is not doomed.  :P
