Just got scammed on CSGo out of my $95 butterfly....

 

I pressed accept AFTER the guy swapped flip knife case hardened for nothing  :mellow: Me being a dumbshit, sped through the "this is a gift" page, as i wanted to complete the trade before he changed his mind (I was making a solid $15 profit). Anyone know if this is recoverable?????

 

The loss of money didn't make me mad, but it was the fact that evil people like this still steal like this right under Valve's nose, and nothing has been done to prevent it.

Nope, Vavle even stated that they are not going to recover scammed items. Not that they were doing that before, but now it's official.

There's nothing to fix. This is user error not a bug or glitch in valves system.

 

Anyway OP sorry to hear about the butterfly, unfortunately valve don't return lost items currently.

why spend money on cs:go skins in the first place. you lost your 95$ the moment you spent the money on it imo.

 

scammers do it because it works

95$ its nothing in knife market. 

 

For OP I think that you can contact Valve and be polite about it , and they will probably Ban the Scammer , and give you your knife back :) 

 

But be polite , because if you start like , YOUR F*CKING TRADE SYSTEM SUCK , FIX! 

 

They wont give you crap xD

HAHAH! Same thing happend to my friend but with a$200 huntsman! HAHAH SUCKS FOR YOU!! Valve won't cover it now too with the recent email to verify thing. This is why you don't spend hundreds of dollars on a stupid game that will be irrelevant in a matter of years. At the end of the day what does a karambit fade do for you? Nothing! The knife deals the same amount of damage no matter what knife. This should be a wake up call for you and let you realize how important money is and how it isn't going to be handed to you. You messed up on a stupid mistake that should not have happened. I hate that game
