Recommend me a graphics card

Hi I am graphics card shopping and I have a few Ideas as to what I want. But First what I want it to do. I want it to run 3 1080p monitors with up to two running minecraft with 65+ fps or if just one game then 85+ fps. It needs to help Folding at home significantly and be future compatible (5+ years). Minecraft settings should be set to highest as possible with render distance at 20+ chunks. I was thinking either the gtx windforce 970 or 60 w/ 4 gb ram but i don't know if this is overkill or not so I have also been considering a gtx windforce 750 ti 2gb. Which should I choose or are there any others you would recommend? (It has to look fairly nice and perferably have a bluish color accents if at all possible) see pic.

Starting to lean twoards 950/60 Windforce gtx. Mostly for futur compatibbilty

The 750 ti will do the trick.

Might be worth checking out the 950 or 960 with what you're wanting, plus they're brand new models.

Why would you need 20+ render chunks there's basically no difference from 16

Unless you are running shaders, minecraft can be maxed on basically any dedicated gpu.

A 970 will likely be overkill if you only play minecraft. that 750ti should do you well, but keep an eye out on the 950 as well.

I've never worked with folding, so I don't know much about what hardware it uses, but for Minecraft, you won't be needing too much. I personally run a Gigabyte 970 and it handles everygame at the max settings (including Minecraft) at 60+ fps.

You just posted this. But anyways, take the 750ti. Doing the job for most youtubers with 3 screens.

First, are you wanting to play on just one minecraft account on two monitors? Because let me tell you, that won't work. Your character will be in between monitors and you wont be able to see it that well. Second, Minecraft is not a demanding game. I run the game at 1080p with 700fps on a gtx 760 Render Distance at 26 with everything on fancy. So yeah you don't need a high end card for minecraft at all. Also, if you're playing multiplayer, minecraft server only have up to a 14 render distance anyway. I'm a server owner so I know. Usually if you go any higher the server will lag. You can't render more than what the server allows.

If you want a graphics card to last 5 years, then a 750ti will NOT cut it, in anyway.

You're looking at at least something like a 970/390 territory, especially if you want to run multiple minecrafts across multiple screens for the next 5+ years. Regardless, any graphics card after that long is going to be nothing in comparison to what will be available.

The best thing to do is upgrade every couple years, and keep your performance up as new cards launch, and older ones drop in price. So you could nab a 960/380 now, and then in a couple years upgrade to a new card.

Get a 960 or 950

Edit: or if you're feeling as if you could spend some money, there's a deal going on for a 970 RN http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/439445-newegg-asus-geforce-gtx-970-drops-to-288-free-copy-of-phantom-pain/#entry5891579

multiple max settings minecraft sessions will probably be hindered more by your cpu and ram than your gpu. Rendering at 20 chunks can put a pretty good beating on a cpu, and java is a huge ram-hog.
