the 970 is a good card for 1440 jesus... 

980Ti is 4k level

No 970 is not 1440p. 970 is for 1440p Med-low settings to stay above 60FPS. For 4k I suggest a Minimum 390x Crossfire setup. The 980Ti at 4k will also need to be low settings. Very low to achieve a constant 60+. ...

Is the gtx 980 ti a good card? If it is, Is it good enough for 1440p at lets say...60 fps on a game like skyrim at max settings?

Dude, its the fastest single GPU on the marked. Of course its good....

... why are there so many threads asking the same thing.. use Google..

its the 3rd fastest card in the world spec wise behind the titan x and the 295x2 but it out performs the titan x in most games and gives the 295 a good kicking too.

specific problems sometimes require a personalised answer.

but "which 980ti" gets asked several times a week and its always the same answers.

everyone recommends different brands based on past experiences..

plus Google would lead you to these posts anyways!

you could always say there's no point in the search function of this forums either..
