As in you probably clicked on the option to sign in with Steam.

I did NOT.  I clicked the green CREATE ACCOUNT button you showed above.  I filled out the form and was sent an activation link to my email.  When I clicked the link in my email the Steam option appeared.  Try it.  I just created a new test account and the same thing happened.

 

My guess is for some reason the activation link opened the Steam option and since I was already logged into Steam with my browser my account info was already there.

strange.  I used the same email as my steam and never got anything like that at all.

Can you right click on the link in your email, and copy the link location, then send it to me in a PM (don't post it in the public forum because it is possible that it may have personal information encoded in it - I'm not sure). I can then look into the issue for you.
