Weird strips and dots popping up when I play game ?

Tai Tran

So this just happened today. I was playing BF4 and all of a sudden I see "rainbows" everywhere on the screen in the background of the map (outside). When I get inside and started shooting I started seeing dots of different colors (just like the rainbows but it's dots now) popping up everywhere and it just kept happening for the rest of the match. I don't know what's wrong and should I be worry or not. I think this might have sth to do with my gpu and sorry if I post in the wrong section. ANY TYPE OF HELP WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED!!!  :(  :(  :(

I don't overclock anything and here is my build :

You are overclocking your GPU too much, back it off a bit and run valley.

I have many leather-bound books.

Drivers up to date? Try a different driver iteration.

I use Driver Booster to check for driver updates and everything seems up to date. I also remember about 1 week ago or few days ago Driver Booster has already updated the driver for my gpu.

Are you monitoring temps?

well yes but not very often. Nothing ever reach 50C (120F) and it was the same today because I know how hot my room gets when I play game.

can we get an image of ingame? take a picture of your screen with your phone.

it happens quite fast so I don't think I can do that. Even if I record the gameplay I wouldn't think I can record that with the game. Idk tho  :(

Most likely artifact. Could be a problem with power delivery, if it's not overclocked, then maybe it's undervolted.

I've had this pc for almost a year now. Do you think it just happens now because something in the system failed ?

It could just be that the gpu is dying. I would check the hardwares first make sure there isn't any shorts esp on the psu. Then maybe try a different PCIE slot. And better find that warranty info you got along when you bought the card.

Check GPU for dust, remove as much as you can.

Possible a collection of dust is impairing a fans ability or allowing a certain part to heat up more than it likes....

Could just be hating your PSU...

I've had specific AMD cards than are fully stable in certain PSU's, but HATE others giving instabilities over time. (Lucky enough to have 5 PC's here with fully capable PSU's)

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
