Real talk what are the chances my computer will shortcircuit, crash and burn if I leave it on 24/7 especially when I'm sleeping alone in my home?

GPU temps ~34°C idle, 55°C when in full load realistically (aka anything but stress test programs).
CPU temps on idle like 49°C, around 55°C on 40% usage and 66°C on full load realistically.
My PSU is garbage unknown brand called Delux or Deluxe so that might literally explode in the next few months.
HDD and CPU Socket always around 36°C - 42°C.

Pic semi-related.

Non-existent, heat isn't going to kill a computer unless it's obscenely hot. Incorrect power draw will kill a computer.

Or a shitty PSU.

My last rig was on practically 24/7 and only got turned off when rebooting due to an update or whatever.

Had it for like 6 years and it was fine.

Alright what I really meant was, what are the chances of my computer literally burning and having my house set on fire and actually kill me?

Unless you're running 3 290x's off a 300w power supply than you should be all set, with no worries of death.

I had a laptop for 4 years that repeatedly shut itself off because the CPU/GPU regularly hit temps of 120 degrees Celsius. It still works! LOL

It probably shut itself off 100's of times. Maybe even over 1000 times due to overheating. Still works as long as you take off the back part of the laptop and point a fan at it.

The most obviously failure would be the power supply.

The chances of that are maybe 1:10 within the next year if the computer is always on, with intermittent periods of max usage.

The odds of the powersupply failing critically and burning out every component, or any component in the system, maybe 1:50 of that 1:10 chance..

Pretty much, if the power supply does die, it will die quietly and the PC will just shut down. If it doesn't die quietly, which would be crazy rare, then it will kill components in the system. Nab yourself a solid powersupply from Seasonic or EVGA and that possibility pretty much disappears entirely.

I like the idea. It is amazing when Molex to pcie power adapters come to use. Let me take an insurance claim out on the house first and write my will. Shit is about to hit the fan B)
