Computer won't recognize ethernet cable or WiFi.

Go to solution Solved by Manswaggle,

Installed windows 10 on it, works now.

I've been struggling to get this computer to run for a couple days now, and formatting is something I'd like to do if nothing else works.

* "Limited connection" on WiFi(USB AE3000), the stick works on every other computer I've plugged it into.
* Won't detect cable in the onboard or the network card, and I know for a fact the card works.
I've completely removed drivers for everything related to internet connecting and reinstalled them with the latest drivers from their respective websites. The ethernet cable works, the card works, the USB WiFi works. The computer just will not recognize the router or /something/.

Windows 7 with the latest updates as of the 28th of last month. Rolling back did not work.
EVGA H55 board with i7-870, gtx 460.

Edit:

Tried a totally different router and that didn't work, either.

Are you sure you don't have two cards on or something ? That could cause some issues since they might try to both connect and freak out.

NEVER GIVE UP. NEVER STOP LEARNING. DONT LET THE PAST HURT YOU. YOU CAN DOOOOO IT

ugh i had this problem on my laptop.

Turns out, it was a virus.   I suggest reformatting as it helped me.

However, I may be wrong.  It could be a hardware issue.

Maybe download Driver Booster and let it update your drivers for you.

Delete it after because iobit likes to install its products by itself on ur computer...

Run a custom install as well, or u will get some bs programs.

Main PC: 4690k // Z97 // R9 280 3GB // 8gb Ram // CM Elite 430 Case // 750 EVGA B PSU // 1TB HDD

Living Room "Console" PC: FX 8350 // 990a SLI Krait // R7 360 // 8gb Ram // HAF 912 // 750 EVGA B PSU // 1TB HDD

Future Plans:

find a 2nd monitor at a pawn shop

Sell/giveaway R7 360, move r9 280 into console PC, buy a better GPU for main PC.

Check the properies of the USB wifi and change the tick to save power make sure that is off.

I've already tried disabling all but one of the possible connections down the line (Only have wifi on, only have the card enabled, or the onboard, and wifi with onboard/card separately.

Checked the power settings and everything for USB in the control panel and in BIOS.

Everything was working fine until one day it was turned off(normally, through start menu), turned on the next day and whammy - no internet. I've tried uninstalling the windows updates from a few days before and that didn't help anything, either.
