Why won't it let me upload images?! Error503 Upload Skipped. Anyway, here's Imgur since it's being dumb. Card is the one in my signature.

MSI Afterburner: http://imgur.com/U5T9KAn

Core Clock: http://imgur.com/GY0l0ti

Card I'm using: http://imgur.com/7xK05gq

Never hits over 72C, even on full load for several hours. I tried going further but there was a lot of freezing and artifacts. Good OC or nah? Also, can I get rid of some nasty coil whine? Is there a way to do that?

P.S. Seidon 120V and Scythe GentleTyphoon come in today, hopefully we will get even better temps and noise levels as the fan will help push the heat out.

Let me know what you think!

No you really can't get rid of coil whine. The reason why you get coil whine is because in chokes(inductors), there are coils that vibrate rapidly. We pot them to keep them from "rattling," but sometimes the potting isn't enough and you hear the awful high pitched noise.

This is what the inside of an inductor looks like

Hate those buggers. It's weird because only in the Heaven benchmark do I get coil whine, or at least loud coil whine. It gets even higher pitched at the end of the benchmark when you close it.

P.S. How do I 'pot' them? Is that wax? Epoxy? Can I do this without completely disassembling the card? Would it be worth replacing the thermal paste anyway and do this as well?

Oh, and is my OC okay? Can you get higher with this card or is mine pretty good?

I used to get coil whine on my 970 when I would exit Heaven during the credits section. Not sure if I still have it now though.

You won't be able to pot them without ruining them. Your overclock is fine.

i thought that was pretty normal due to the high fps when you exit heaven. I've only ever had whine in menus or opening\closing screens on any of my cards (580, 960, 980) but it's always been apparent during anything like that. Far cry4 intro makes em sing lol

Edit: never used a 760 so i don't really know about the oc

Well it happens when the benchmark is running as well, but it does get a bit louder at the end.

I can hear a little whine when its hitting 150fps+ on some scenes.  I feel i've been pretty blessed by the coil gods
