Let me know when consumer CPUs have caught up.

Didn't we already make fun of them for this claim?

Also 8-way SLI, 8x the money for only 3x the FPS.

That's another thing. Unless we do something about scaling, it won't benefit anyone.

I mean, here is a senario. Or more of a question.

"Who the hell would 8 way SLI?"

We already have massive scaling issues at 4 way. I think this NVlink should solve some scaling issues. (Also if I have to get a new motherboard for that i'm going to throw a fit)

Uhh not to mention the price, lets say someone wants to SLI 8 Pascal Titans. Thats like $8,000. Who will realistically do that. Only a small percentage will pull the "Because I can" quote. And if you SLI 8 of the pascal cards thats over 10X the performance of just one titan X... All that power... Ho my GAWD.

Not to mention power draw, even if you SLI 8 cards thats gonna take a SHITTON of power no matter how power friendly these cards are.

Point is I'm exited. If PCie 3 works for these cards, then I'll pick up 2 of the Pascal Titans. Its just a matter of waiting.

Most probably 10x better in double-precision flops and not in gaming because Titan-X DP is shait.

This is kinda laughable honestly, 10x the performance of 8 Titan X's (at least in compute performance)? And I thought AMD made some outrageous claims.
