1. drop to an i3

2. drop to 8 GB of ram

3. drop the aftermarket cooler, it's a waste on a non k cpu

4. spend the money you saved on a better gpu

5. get a better psu, maybe a EVGA 600B

For a budget level gaming, 750Ti is more than enough.

So that person has that rig is not gonna expect to run any game at 1080p 60 fps at max settings.

He will lower down some settings and res too to get some decent frame rates.

I disagree with people who say to sacrifice CPU for GPU. This is extremely short sighted, investing in a good CPU is a much better return on investment.

CPUs don't depresiate, and have only minor advances year to year. So it is better to buy the best CPU you can get now because it won't be cheaper next year and new CPUs won't be much better.

GPUs are the opposite, they depreciate very quickly and change dramatically. So buy a solid 1-2 year old model for a fraction the price and upgrade when you need to...

The 980ti will be WAY cheaper in 2 years, but the 6700k will cost the same. So spend your money on what will retain value.

@kameshss Really? You know within that budget you can even get a R9 390? Of course you'd need to sacrifice i5/i3 for an FX-6300 and overclock it but oh well that's up to the OP for what kind of games he wants to use the PC. Modern games should run fine on an 6300, the problem might be older games that don't support many threads.
I'd prefer to gather more money to get both the i5-4460 & R9 390.
I personally like the build from @Chugle besides the SSD model he picked and the CPU cooler.
I'd also look for a fully featured ATX motherboard if possible. Leaves more room for upgrades.

@Chugle actually it's a very decent brand for the money and the Z3 Plus is a very good case that allows lots of customization. I put together a PC for my buddy with this exact case and I built it myself from scratch.

I use a Zalman GS1000 Full Tower case, it's an old construction bought back in 2008. Serves me great up to this day. Really with everything I've put inside from Core 2 Quad Q8200 up to my current FX-8350 & a GTX 970
