lol, I was looking at the team folding stats and noticed that we have surpassed Apple and there efforts, just thought I'd share this awesome bit of information with you guys,

Fan curve, once it hits 50°c 100% My 6850 doesn't go over 58°c EVER

 

I was at 56°c at 50% fan speed, just bumped it up to 75% fan speed and it will drop a few degrees now.

ohh, stock, well... My 6850 has whatever after market cooler Gigabyte put on it, it is nice and quite lol

Electicity is expensive here so i just fold when not on the active on my pc with the 780. (Higher ppd than with the 590?)

yes, a 780 should get you more then a 590. :)  the other thing, FAH isn't even optimized yet for the new GPU's - so hopefully in a coming update they will perform even better!

Apple are not going t be doing much with the tech they have. I mean up until a month or two ago when they released the new mac dustbin which is my recycle bin logo the best gpu you could get from them was the 5770.

I took a closer look at the apple folding team and found that...

They have about 3 active users

one with about 1.6k PPD    another with  12k PPD

 

And last but not least a certain jim.gluftsis with 4,292k PPD that is about 8 Whalers

He has run 1140 active clients in the last 50 days and 482 clients in the last week

In another forum he wrote, "Half the hardware I have access to is Mid 2010 Mac Pros 2 x 2.66 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeons.

The other half are Early 2009 Quad Cores.  Almost 400 boxes that are not always in use - unless I use them."

We have a -1461k PPD deficit towards them and we will be taken over in 1.8 months.
