PLEASE HELP! CPU Won't Overclock!

so basically you is that I have a Pentium g3258 and I cannot overclock it with my MSI z97 motherboard I know it I know it sucks compatibility issues with 1600 MHz RAM,

but I don't see how that could stop over clocking?

this is really becoming an issue because games like DayZ allow really lagging because of this.

It actuly works fin and I'm getting around 25 - 50 fps sometimes with a GTX 760.

i got my OC running at 4.4ghz stable, 1.25V. have you tried messing around in the bios?

That said though. OP's post is virtually unreadable and it's unclear what his previous attemps were like. Is it software/utility OC...BIOS?

i got my OC running at 4.4ghz stable, 1.25V. have you tried messing around in the bios?

My Bios Won't let me touch the cpu, and when I try to do it in intel ETU My PC Just crashes.

The G3258 is a K-CPU, It Has been OC to 4.9ghz. I have a watercooled system as well to deal with the heat.

if u can afford watercooling u shouldve went with i5/i7... watercooling a g3258 is waste of money

Try to go for a low OC first, just to see if it runs.

if you dont care about the chip; do 1.45 Volts and 4.5GHz and u should be stable.

well the OP here is likely using an air cooler if I had to guess. And its probably nothing more powerful than a 212. So I think 1.45 should be his limit because that is the start of "extreme cooling required" according to the link you gave me.
