Hermes (Core 2 Quad Q6600 and Radeon HD 7950)

flibberdipper

More bad news: Corsair isn't gonna cover the sidepanel, so right now it doesn't even have a sidepanel.

And to top it all off, something in my system seems to have a coil whine-like issue (seemingly my boot drive).

*sigh* I guess I'm gonna have to save up to get a non-windowed sidepanel, new front panel, and then some kind of 120GB SSD. :/

Hey guys! Quick update on the 'ol girl: The cables are training GREAT, and my 480 is still without parts. So... It still has the 3450 in it (LTT's fastest 3450, I might add). Also, I've gone from it just being the "trusty dusty" to "trusty and cleanerthanmymainrig," or in other words, I just cleaned it really well. So, here's the pic of it. The random USB 3.0 cable will get an adapter soon, and therefore be hidden from view.

Yeah, well... It felt outta place apparently. The video connector on it got all screwed up, and there was no way to fix it. So now this rig is completely useless.

If I could spare it I'd send my GTX 650ti your way (its going in a rig that I'm building for my brother-if I don't he'll be stuck with a Pentium M 1.7GHz and the Intel 910GML based laptop-which just won't do).

Psh, I was using a 500MHz PIII and TNT2 until like 5 years ago. I know the feel.

If only. All of the money I get is going to a ZenFone 2 (the one with the 1.8GHz CPU, 4GB of RAM, 16GB of onboard storage, and the black color scheme). My current phone is slow, the display and camera suck, and it's just been acting all fucky lately.

That is very similar to what I was dealing with. Pentium III 667, Riva TNT 2 (I wasn't using the upgrade graphics cards-Geforce 256 and then Nvidia MX400 64MB-as they both died), 256MB RAM and a 1.28GB HDD (Seagate ST51270A) until the start of last year-where I jumped straight to the i5 4440, 8GB RAM, GTX 650ti OC 2GB and a 1TB HDD.

However I did have access to a few laptops that were hand-me-downs from my Mum (but they were always years behind the latest laptops at the time).

I'm still using my P4 xeons. not as old but they still get to 100% cpu doing nothing but web browsing.

EDIT: Oh, and a heavily bottlenecked HD5770.

I got gta V running on it (at about 5 fps), so probably most games that happily run in a pentium g3258 will run kind of. Basically anthing that will run on a pentuim D.

TBH, not even my dual Pentium III EB1000 do that (though trying to open FB is an exception). Oh and I've played Portal on them BTW, though I think my Geforce 6200 was getting bottlenecked.

Yea I remember running Minecraft on a Pentium D for a while and that was not fun... the GT 210 ran it like a charm when you ignored the studers caused by the CPU lol

It would still be running better than it does on a Celeron M30 and Intel 910GML-and it was very playable until I had to use a portal.
