Wrist Strap

I was wondering if I should get an anti static wrist strap for my build (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/Hp24WZ) or would it be fine if I just build it on my wooden floor (it is a department), but every few minutes touching the case or any metal object to discharge? Not sure..

you really dont need one. I have never even bothered to ground myself and I work on carpets. Also its humid.

There's no real reason to get one.

I live in Texas so the humidity keeps any static away, it's a rare occurrence for me to get shocked by something.

As long as you don't make love to a yeti on a shag carpet before building, you're fine.

Nope.  Just touch your psu or case often while you build.

yes. there is a higher risk. but if you touch the chassis every once in a while it is about as likely that something gets damaged as linus finally reaching puberty.

Touch metal  every once in a while and don't work on carpet with socks.
