I really don't see the point why people would buy 'PRO' SSD's.. Like it's a difference between night and day

I'm wondering who spends 200$ more on a 1TB ssd vs 512GB while that money could be spent on a better or second GPU. 512 and even 256 is really enough for games...

Yeah honestly it'll be enough for the games you play more then once a week. If it feels up do some thinking and remove like the top 1-3 games you don't play very often anymore.

For that price you could get a Intel 750 400GB ssd, which atleast is much faster. Even if SSD barely helps with games, in some there is no difference. HDD"s are quite fast now, even my 3TB external does +150Mb/s

Not really a deal.  Amazon (as in sold by Amazon.com; not a third-party) has the same drive available for a few dollars cheaper.

My PC specifications are in my profile.

Not sure why games are being mentioned specifically in this thread. The OP may just need fast or quiet storage. Often when applied to many things other than games, you see a bigger difference between an SSD and a hard drive. That 150Mb (MB?)/s speed that your hard drive does has been done by hard drives 10 years ago and maybe earlier.

1 small drive? I wish I bought that one, I bought a 3TB WB one which is bigger then a 1000 page book and it needs a external powersupply :(

I partially agree. On one hand, I wouldn't buy an SSD for mass storage until HDDs are completely obsolete, meaning that SSDs age cheap enough to just buy up to 4TB right off the bat.

The bit I don't agree with, on the other hand, is that 250gb is enough for games - sure, it's enough for what you play daily/at the time, but you're limited if you switch between more than a few, especially considering games are raising in size. Personally, I plan to get two 4TB HDDs so I can just stick my whole library on; unnecessary but useful - and an example of game storage at that. I just hope failure rates are fine by then or there are bigger storage sizes.

Only a few single games benefit from a SSD. There is no point in putting let's say Battlefield 4 which is 60GB on a SSD. I usually put games where loading takes a lot of time and you save&load a lot like Total War or Civilization series.

Do you really have 4TB of games? Damn I have nearly 500 games and i'm sure they don't even fill 2TB. Why would you install your whole library while you could download them when you need them?

Battlefield 4 hugely benefits from an SSD. Also, the game is 57GB with all DLC, less with just the vanilla game. Trust me, playing BF4 on an SSD is world's better than an HDD.

I could say the same about you, I see that your monitor (Acer H236HLBID) which is 1080P 60hz IPS, how can you play Battlefield 4 on that one xD

w.e Everyone has their own preferences. Mine would be keeping my desk without hdds on it. Why have it take up space on the desk when you could have one sitting inside the pc.

Because my idea was to only use SSD's (128GB for OS&Programs and 512GB for games) in my rig to keep it silent and to remove the hdd cage, I use the 3TB external for movies&video/audio editing stuff etc.

Loading times are much, much faster on an SSD (For BF4 At Least), obviously. You're always the first one to be on the battlefield and get that chopper or vehicle. I don't see how I can't play on my monitor.

That's not true, since you need to wait for everyone to join the game. Even with my 4 year old 1TB hdd i'm still one of the first on a 64 player server (Idk what's happening with the other guys, they are running potato's?)

And your display is 60hz, which is completely unplayable in Battlefield 4 (for competitive players)   ;)
