Just curious to see what people are getting in terms of download and upload on 4g and the country/city they are from and who there carrier is. Im from Melbourne, Australia the land of shit broadband but amazing 4g.

In Cambridge, Ontario, Canada (Where I work), I get 66ms ping, 34.77 Mbps download, and 15.19 Mbps upload. This is with 2 bars of signal (out of 5 possible), and I'm inside a giant concrete room.

Not bad. This is on Bell's LTE network.

I did another test in the lunch room beside a big window - with 4 bars of signal, and the test results were nigh identical.

... what?

You're doing it wrong.

Speedtest.net official app, used 77 MB to perform the two tests I just performed.

If a speed test is using 1.5 GB, then you're doing something massively wrong, or you're using a really REALLY bad and un-optimized test.

Megabits, not Megabytes.

Network/Internet speed is always measured in Megabits.

it's advertised as 50Mb/s but it's actually 5-40 Mb/s

What is your signal strength like? 32 ms ping is pretty solid for Wireless Cellular, but those speeds are atrocious for LTE or even 3G (HSPA, UMTS, etc).

Thats why all ISPs in UK advertise the broadbands as "up to 50, 100 etc." so if u dont get your full speed their adcertising is not incorrect.

I see that you edited your post and added in the picture.

I would personally advise you to edit out the GPS Location Coordinates (Longitude and Latitude), as well as the IP Addresses. For your own personal security.

IDK it might have had a glitch with the old app, last one I did was in december
