Hey guys my friend has a phanteks  PH-TC14PE. He is about to buy some AIO (h240-x I believe) and he offered to sell me his heatsink for about 35$. That seems like a pretty good deal for a 70 or so dollar heatsink. The only problem with it is that some of the fins are slightly bent on the corners. I was wondering if it is a bad sign for airflow or noise and is therefore not worth the money he wants me to pay him.  Thanks a lot for the helppost-234520-0-50674200-1439125116.jpg

It might upset airflow very slightly, but it shouldn't make any difference in terms of heat dissipation, so it genuinely is nothing to be worried about. You're also not alone; heatsinks are incredibly fragile little things, so their fins bend all the time...

As long as the heat pipes are not damaged you are perfectly fine. In the corners there is next to no airflow anyway since it is not corevered by the fan, if you don't use an oversized one.

Mineral oil and 40 kg aluminium heat sinks are a perfect combination: 73 cores and a Titan X, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Oil
