x99 vs z170 Build

thats all chip specific as to what u can get out of it, dont make false accusations when u clearly dont know what u are talking about. you would have been better as wording it as bang for buck the 4 core at the minute as not many games utilise more than 4 cores

I am just trying to save your money, if you OC 6700K or even 4790K you will get better performance than with X99 in most games, you can also get cheaper MBO and use that money elsewhere.

thats why i said say bang for buck, u just said that the x99 is worse for gaming when it is no way worse

I personally would go for the X99 build I wouldn't recommend skylake right now, Especially since the price of DDR4 is still high, and theres no point in spending the money on DDR4 when X99 is available and you can get more performance out of a 6 core

Well it is, very slightly but it is, if you really want to spend money basically just for bragging rights get X99, or you can get Z97/Z170 and some nice monitor, peripherals, beer or whatever.Get whatever you want, it is your money after all. I am here to advice people so they get the most for their money :)

its all well advising people on the money they spend but you said the 4 cores will out perform the x99 chips in gaming when they do not at all. if anything the x99 may be better as future game producers will start looking in to using more than 4 cores

Id probably go for the X99 build tbh, gives you more headroom later if you do more than gaming.

The 5820K will be better for streaming, recording, uploading, editing, etc

4690K // 212 EVO // Z97-PRO // Vengeance 16GB // GTX 770 GTX 970 // MX100 128GB // Toshiba 1TB // Air 540 // HX650

Logitech G502 RGB // Corsair K65 RGB (MX Red)
