<---Parvum Owl---> (Skylake build) WIP

Sivoj

Hi,

So this is my first build log and I hope you enjoy it.

I went with an owl themed build.

I was tossing up with the idea of a silver and orange, or black and orange colour scheme, but settled with the green.

Why green you might ask?

Well this is mainly due to the second customization I made, which was adding the geforce logo on the side. And I like green.

Yes I like Nvidia products (not sure if I could quite go so far as to call myself an nvidia fanboy, but I think I'm close).

So here it is.

(I apologise for the poor image quality)

But who really cares about the Case?

What you really want to know is what is going inside it, right?

So on to the Specs of the build:

CPU: intel core i7 6700k (arrived)

CPU Cooling: Corsair H100i GTX (arrived)

Ram: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 (arrived)

Motherboard: ASUS Maximus VIII Gene (arrived)

SSD: Samsung 850 EVO 250GB (arrived)

PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750W G2 (arrived)

GPU (1): Nvidia GTX 970 (arrived)

GPU (2): Nvidia GTX 970 (arrived)

Fans: Parvum F1.0 (*3) (arrived)

I also have sleeved cables coming.

The ordered parts should be coming early next week.

Let me know if you want to see the GPU's or any more photos of the case.

Would you like to see benchmarks? Overclocking? Temperatures? Just let me know and I'll see what I can do.

I dont see any water cooling parts what gives.

There are a few reasons for not having a custom water cooled loop.

1. I'm reasonably new to pc building, and didn't want to take too many risks.

2. The look of the build (I actually like the look of the reference GTX 970's, despite the performance/temperature difference between air and water cooled gpu's, and it works well with my silver and green theme).

3. A custom water cooled loop is expensive, especially in the land down under (I didn't want to compromise on the other components).

4. It's been done soooo many times with Parvum cases.

5. I've got something to look forward to with my next build, whenever that happens to be.

my cable management could use a bit of work.

and even in the front.

(I underestimated the amount of room for the cables at the back)
