windows 10 registry edits

a couple questions:

 

1) is it better performance to clean install win10 from 8.1 or is it fine to "upgrade" keeping old files?

 

2) can i make the same edits in the registry that i have from windows 8.1 to windows 10?

1. usally better but prob fine.

1) A fresh OS will almost always be faster.

2) Most of the same regedits should work, but you should probably check before doing them again.

the only edit i would be making is changing the values to disable cpu core parking. ive noticed that between windows 7 and 8, the same value changes could be made. so i assume windows 10 would keep that tradition. hopefully

Are you really still having issues with core parking in Win10?
